*WIN A CUSTOM COZY FLEECE BLANKET*

I'm back with another Orkin post. I love their blog apps.  This time its #MouseInAHouse - a choose-your-own-adventure game that puts you in the shoes of a rodent looking to survive the upcoming harsh winter season – try your best to stay alive and see how long you last!

Fall has arrived, and cooler weather has come with it. Whether or not you know it, your warm house is an open invitation to unwanted guests looking for a cozy winter vacation: rodents. Each fall, rodents migrate from their outdoor “summer home” to the warmth, food and shelter of their “winter timeshare” – your house!
Being human has its perks, like having a cozy house to enjoy during the winter, but imagine having to survive as a mouse? Try your luck by playing “Mouse in a House” – a choose-your-own-adventure game that puts you in the shoes of a rodent looking to survive the upcoming harsh winter season – try your best to stay alive and see how long you last!
Just so you know I died several times in the house. Apparently I make an awful rodent.  I didn't even make it through the front door, but I did eventually survive as a mouse in the house. Comment below as a giveaway entry! Then tell me your rodent horror stories in the comments below as a 2nd giveaway entry. Good Luck!

  3. We had a mouse in our old house. Our house had actually been over a hundred years old so it was one of those houses with the heat radiators that have hot water flowing through it's pipes. Anyways, I'm not sure how the mouse got in, but I saw it one afternoon scuttling across our living room floor. At first I thought it was a ball of dust or lint, but realized that it was probably a mouse. However, it seemed to disappear as soon I saw it. We laid out traps and all kinds of contraptions, but never seemed to catch it. I would find bags in our pantry ripped open, and stuff would be falling out so the mouse had to go. I never felt comfortable using the grain or flour that the mouse got into so that went to waste. Eventually, we realized the mouse actually hid inside the radiator holes. The next time we saw the mouse, we got a large stick and shoved it out of the radiator and caught it in a large box. We got it trapped and dropped it off miles away. My daughter didn't want us to kill it so that was the next best option. We didn't have a problem after that!
